Life On A Dead Planet

29.03 (in which nothing really happens)

A quiet day that started out with a game of tennis, a long lunch at the club, and an afternoon of planning the trip to London.

We watched thon Peaky Blinders film, →'The Immortal Man' last night. It was alright, it had all the standard stuff you'd want from a Peaky Blinders offering - the sharp suits, the Gypsy mythology, lots of casual violence, and of course the →great contemporary music. The plot itself I wont reveal but safe to say there'll be no season 7.

Once that finished we watched →'The Shallows' on BBC1, the survival-themed film staring Blake Lively. Have to admit I enjoyed it more than I thought I would, particularly the ending which was quite exciting.

So the day started early on court 8 of our tennis club. Myself and C. went for a quick practice/game which went well enough. Afterwards lunch in the canteen, and home by 1pm. Spent the rest of the day planning the London trip, or, rather, re-planning the London trip as the things I want to see and do change by the hour, but, sure, anyway, I think I have it sorted now.

We've nothing else to watch on Netflix or HBO for now, with both 'The Pitt' and 'DTF St Louis' not releasing episodes for a while, so not sure what the evening will look like. We'll see.

I had kinda forgotten the →baseball season has begun again, so might just tune in to a game later this evening.

Tomorrow back to work. A quiet week, as my boss is away all week and the Germans are all gone on Friday - they get many more public holidays than we do here in The Netherlands. I'm off on Monday, but not Friday, unlike my colleagues in Germany. No matter, as I'm going to London on Friday afternoon, I just hope there's no one looking for me bwahaha.

R. came around in the evening to pick up a baking tray she left behind, and together with C. they discussed what they're going to do in Porto at the weekend (they're in Portugal while I am in London).

Right, another boring update, yet another →'Dear Diary' entry. Pffff.

Time you went home, your tea will be getting cold.

In my head, when I write these things, I do it in a Scottish accent, and pretend I'm doing it with a →'First Big Weekend' vibe, but it never quite works out that like that.
